Caring for jJapanese maples during the summer is important.  In the Summer your maple is building up its reserves for winter dormancy and also next year’s growth. It is important that you keep your Japanese Maple from drying out. Many of us have very hot dry summers and it is a good idea to water deeply twice a week and more often if it is a newly planted tree or if it is growing in a container.
